Synchronised Downturn: Diverse Recovery

We are already past the bottom of the real estate investment market cycle on almost all measures with the exception of rents. However, what was a synchronised downturn is becoming a diverse recovery.

Some markets have flicked into growth mode relatively quickly showing that when markets attract focussed investor attention yields have the potential to move in and drive pricing levels.

We are beginning to see the focus of investor attention spread at the start of 2010, with international investors looking at a broader range of markets and very slowly moving up the risk curve.
